【例文】Writing in The New Republic, Alice Lee notes that increasing the number of opportunities for board membership without increasing the pool of qualified women to serve on such boards has led to a “golden skirt”phenomenon, where the same elite women scoop up multiple seats on a variety of boards.

【分析】该句话中的有三个谓语部分，第一个是notes，第二个是has led to，第三个是scoop up。后面两者前面都有从属连词，所以出现了两个从句。句首的v-ing分词短语做状语，句中的without介词短语做状语。所以：

状语：Writing in The New Republic

主干：Alice Lee notes

宾语从句：that increasing the number of opportunities for board membership has led to a “golden skirt”phenomenon

状语：without increasing the pool of qualified women to serve on such boards

定语从句：where the same elite women scoop up multiple seats on a variety of boards

【译文】在《新共和》杂志中，爱丽丝李指出，只是为女性提供更多在董事会认知的机会，而不是增加可以胜任这些席位的女性的后备力量这种行为，已经导致了一种“金裙”现象，同一群精英女士包揽了各种董事会的多个席位。
